Elementary School Teacher

POSITION SUMMARY: The Elementary School Teacher fulfi lls the mission of Saint Agatha School by providing instruction within the framework of the school’s philosophy, organization, and policies. This position is anticipated, depending upon suffi cient program enrollment.

FLSA: Exempt/37.5 hours per week, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM during the school year. This is a benefit-eligible position.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons to students.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and student engagement.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians. 
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments.
• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences in the classroom.
• Provide individualized support and guidance to students as needed.
• Foster a love for learning by making connections to real-world applications.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in elementary education, specifically for Kindergarten students.
