Job Description

SHSS is hiring three Preschool Teaching Assistant positions:

Dedicated Dual Language Classroom Assistant (1 Position)

This assistant will be assigned exclusively to our Preschool Dual Language classroom, partnering with the lead teacher each day to support instruction, classroom routines, language development, and scholar success.

Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:30

Preschool Float Teaching Assistants (2 Positions)

Float assistants provide instructional and operational support across multiple preschool classrooms. They help maintain consistent, high-quality learning experiences by assisting wherever needed, supporting transitions, providing scholar intervention, covering breaks, and ensuring classrooms remain safe, joyful, and well-organized.

Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:30

The Preschool Teaching Assistant partners with classroom teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where every scholar is known, loved, and challenged. Teaching assistants actively participate in instruction, facilitate learning through play and inquiry, supervise scholars throughout the day, and contribute to a classroom culture grounded in respect, curiosity, and kindness.

This position plays an essential role in helping our youngest scholars develop academically, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
